BEN MELLO, C.M.
Ben Mello has over 23 years of experience completing aviation system planning, airport master planning, and environmental analysis. He started his career as a system planner/airport master planner for two highly respected system planning firms where he completed system plans in seven (7) states and over 10 master plans in various states over his six (6) years working as a consultant. He then went to work as an Airport Planner/Assistant Airport Manager at a Part 139 Airport (4 years) where he was involved in all aspects of airport management including completing an environmental impact statement (EIS), a terminal master plan, a capital improvement plan, an incident command exercise (wheels rolling and full-blown exercise development) and day-to-day operations of the airport. He then went to work for the FAA as the Community Planner (responsible for reviewing approving all planning actions) for the Chicago and Helena Airport District Offices (6 years). Most recently he worked as a Project Manager for a consulting firm where he was responsible for completing master plans and environmental reports for airports in Montana, South, and North Dakota (5 years).
Ben lives in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle, Washington) with his wife and three children. He enjoys all of the things that the northwest offers including fly fishing, hiking, skiing, mountain biking.
